






This week's recycling developments were as follows:
[Annual 30,000 mt End-of-Life Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Lands in Shandong] Details of the 30,000 mt/year end-of-life lithium battery comprehensive utilization project in Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province were recently disclosed. The project, constructed by Qingdao Ganfeng Yunqu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., is located south of Hong Kong Road and west of Wuzhou Road in Sanlihe Street, Jiaozhou City. To promote economic development and the comprehensive recycling of end-of-life lithium batteries, the project will utilize existing factory buildings to establish a 30,000 mt/year end-of-life lithium battery comprehensive utilization facility. The total project investment is 110 million yuan, covering an area of 33,350 ㎡ with a floor area of 18,621.89 ㎡. Plans include building two second-life application disassembly production lines for waste batteries, one PCAK assembly line, and two disassembly recycling production lines for waste LFP batteries.
[Chizhou City's Annual 80,000 mt LFP Battery Materials Processing Project Lands] On September 18, the Chizhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau intended to issue an approval opinion on the environmental impact assessment document for the "Annual 80,000 mt LFP Battery Materials Processing Project" by Chizhou CN Material New Technology Co., Ltd. The project plans to lease the positive pole piece repair workshop and negative pole piece repair workshop of Anhui CN Technology Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. to build one 30,000 mt LFP recycling line and one 50,000 mt battery negative pole piece repair line. It will utilize the public auxiliary facilities of Anhui CN Technology Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. and construct supporting environmental protection projects. Upon completion, the project is expected to annually produce 22,660 mt of LFP powder, 6,750 mt of aluminum foil, 37,657 mt of negative graphite powder, and 11,250 mt of copper foil.
[Ruikemei Lithium Battery Disassembly Recycling Base Is Expected to Commence Production] According to Ruikemei, the Yangtze River Ruikemei Lithium Battery Disassembly Recycling Base is located in the High-End Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Xialu District, Huangshi City, Hubei Province. The first-phase project has the capacity to process 20,000 mt of waste power batteries annually and is expected to start production by month-end.
[New Battery Recycling Investment Project Lands in Hanzhong, Shaanxi] Recently, the Hanzhong Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau issued an announcement regarding the approval decision for the environmental impact report of the end-of-life lithium power battery recycling and second-life application project by Hanzhong Huantai New Energy Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. It is understood that the project is planned to be built within the Shaanxi Mian County Economic and Technological Development Zone, involving the construction of one recycling and disassembly production line for end-of-life lithium power batteries and one battery recycling and disassembly second-life application production line. The annual recycling and processing capacity is 21,000 units, with approximately 60 pieces of related production equipment to be purchased. The total project investment was 128 million yuan, with an environmental protection investment of 382,000 yuan.
[Hefei Rongjie Ternary Battery Recycling Project Lands] Recently, the Hefei Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau released the "First Public Notice on the Environmental Impact Assessment Information for the Ternary Lithium Battery Recycling Project of Hefei Rongjie Power Battery Recycling Co., Ltd."The project was invested in and constructed by Hefei Rongjie Power Battery Recycling Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 1.74 billion yuan. It covers an area of approximately 156.51 mu, with a new construction area of about 85,000 m². Upon completion, the project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 10,000 mt of ternary cathode precursor, 8,000 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate, 6,000 mt of electrodeposited nickel, and 5,000 mt of battery-grade manganese sulphate, among other products.
[Nantong's Annual Processing Capacity for 20,000 Retired Vehicles and 30,000 mt of Scrap Lithium Batteries Project Lands] Recently, the Nantong Municipal Data Bureau officially released the acceptance announcement for the environmental impact assessment report of Jiangsu Aosem Technology Co., Ltd.'s motor vehicle recycling and dismantling and lithium battery resource utilization project. This project involves purchasing land and building factories for the recycling and dismantling of waste motor vehicles and the resource utilization of lithium batteries, among other production activities, and is expected to officially commence operation in 2026. The construction content includes (1) an annual recycling and dismantling capacity of 20,000 motor vehicles, comprising 5,000 retired small internal combustion engine vehicles, 5,000 retired medium internal combustion engine vehicles, 2,000 retired large internal combustion engine vehicles, 4,000 retired small NEVs, 3,000 retired medium NEVs, and 1,000 retired large NEVs; (2) an annual resource utilization capacity of 30,000 mt of lithium batteries, including 10,000 mt of retired ternary lithium batteries and 20,000 mt of retired LFP batteries.
[100,000 mt LFP Project Is Expected to Commence Operation] Recently, the annual 100,000 mt high-performance LFP cathode material project of Pengbo New Materials in the Quandong Industrial Park, Yangquan High-tech Zone, Shanxi Province, is expected to commence operation, which is anticipated to further improve the lithium battery industry chain in the Yangquan area. The project is invested in and constructed by Hunan Pengbo New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Pengbo New Materials), with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanxi Pengbo New Materials Co., Ltd., responsible for operation. The planned total annual capacity is 200,000 mt, based on the existing production of high-compaction density LFP from ferrous oxalate, to produce the fifth-generation LFP. On April 7 this year, the first phase of the project officially started construction, with an investment of 1.85 billion yuan, planning to build 8 production lines. The project is scheduled to start trial production with feed in mid-September, with batch stable delivery output beginning in October, and is currently progressing in an orderly manner. Additionally, the second phase with a capacity of 100,000 mt is under preparation.
[Annual 200,000 mt High-Performance Lithium Battery Anode Material Project Lands in Gutian, Fujian] Recently, Kaijin New Energy stated that its annual 200,000 mt high-performance lithium battery anode material project will be located in Gutian, Fujian. According to reports, the total investment in the project is 5 billion yuan, and the annual output value is expected to reach 6 billion yuan after completion and operation, with tax revenue reaching 360 million yuan. The first phase of the project will commence construction after formal signing with relevant parties, ensuring that the first phase is completed and operational by June next year.
